Where are all the books written by lefties?!

I perused the poli sci section in the local Borders here in Des Moines yesterday evening.

It seemed like every book was an attack on Obama!

Aren't left wing authors writing anything???

I did see Ed Schulz's book, but that was about it...

This is the same Borders that hosted Palin recently on a book tour, and will have Huckelbee in a few weeks, pushing his book...

Come on, lefties, write something!!

8. Progressive authors aren't GUARANTEED massive book sales

Do you think Sean Hannity or Sarah Palin actually sold many books in a store? Of course not.

The RW thinktanks buy them in bulk to give away as "premiums" for their subscriptions. Or they're simply given away as gifts at RW functions.

And since their books get on top of the charts because of those bulk sales, the bookstores have no choice but to display them.

In reality, progressive books sell as well or better in the "real world" of book stores - when they're there. It's just that many progressive-leaning books never make it there.

aren't. I like to think that, but I think if you look through the back list shelves you will find them hidden there and spined. When I go into our local Barnes & Noble here, I rearrange their shelves. I spine all the RW trash and put all the lefty stuff face up so they are noticed first.

of the left-wing political books are issue-focused, well-researched books instead of solely propagandistic diatribes. Thus, many of them end up in "social sciences" or "sociology" rather than "current events" or "poli sci." That's what I've found anyway.

are the ones being sold and read. That's why you don't see them on the shelves too often.

The shelves and bargain bins are full of right wing books collecting dust.

1.-People are, but bookstores may or may not carry them for their market.

2.- RIGHT WING books are published mostly by Regnery Press, who is NOT running a profit. It is not meant to.

3.- You may want to DEMAND they carry them, or at least SPECIAL ORDER them to make sure they realize there is a market. Tom hartman has more than a few as well as Joe Conason.
