Michele Bachmann, free booze and a room full of Right Wingers.....Yikes !!!!
:scared:

from the Washington Independent:

If there one way to win the coveted presidential straw poll at CPAC, it’s to offer everyone in attendance a free drink. Rep. Michele Bachmann, who’s rumored to be running in 2012, kicked off the conservative gathering on Thursday with a rousing speech bashing “Obamacare” and Rep. Nancy Pelosi that included an announcement that she was hosting a party Thursday evening — and the bar tab was on her.

To Saturday Night Live fans, Bachmann joked, “Someone told me I need to find the right camera,” alluding to criticism of her tea party response to President Obama’s State of the Union address by the sketch comedy show.

“It’s a new day in Washington, D.C. We have so much to be grateful for,” Bachmann said. She talked about the three-legged stool of the movement which includes fiscal conservatives, social conservatives and security hawks.

“You have been part of the down payment on bringing back liberty to America,” she said. “You helped pry that gavel out of Speaker Pelosi’s hands. She wasn’t really willing to let John Boehner have it, but he got it.” ............(more)

3. I don't think I could drink that much anymore
And still be able to mark a ballot, and it sure as hell would never seem a good idea (even at my most out-of-control, falling-down, blackout drunk) to mark a ballot for Michele Bachmann. It'd be a helluva bender for the nation, and I still don't think Bachmann would poll enough votes to break out of single digits.

4. Okay, so "bringing back liberty"
would include all Americans except if you're a minority, disabled, old, young, female, muslim, LGBT, atheist, liberal, Democrat, or a trial lawyer. I get it.

11. And she's too stupid to figure out
that NO ONE in that room is going to seriously support her presidential bid AND she was nice enough to pick up the bar tab in the process. I'm not seeing this as a bad thing.

12. The Good Side Of This...
Bachmann is surely creating angst in the House of Mooselini...moving in on her turf. Grifterella sits home cause she wouldn't get paid while Bachmann's Wingnut Overdrive is setting the stage to upstage Bible Spice in next year's primaries. If you saw any of the Frank Luntz "focus" (more like fecal) group, you saw the people who will be casting the first votes in next year's GOTB primaries and Bachmann's doing the groundwork Palin isn't. It's just a matter of time when the two divas square off...there's only room for one. Stand by for what is sure to be some of the best laughs in a long time...

13. That's the same old three legged stool they've always had. They are the PAST!

They're old and they're going to get their butt kicked by the young!

15. Correct, but she forgot the 4th leg of the GOP stool ... Corporatists.
The GOP has always been ...

1) Corporatists.
2) Neocons (war hawks)
3) Fiscal Conservatives
4) Social conservatives (christo-facists)

The Tea Party was nothing new.

Groups #1 and #2 control the GOP, groups #3 and #4 are their (aging) followers. No change whatsoever.
