CLEVELAND - It's so cold in Cleveland that some cars won't start and electric companies are cranking out extra power to keep up with demand for heat.
The Cuyahoga County Office of Homeless Service issued a weather emergency for extreme cold putting homeless in danger during this week's arctic blast of polar air.
But for thousands of homeless people in Cleveland, single-digit and below-zero weather can be a matter of life and death. So Thursday, homeless advocates opened a warming center at St. Malachi's Church on the corner of West 25th and Superior Avenue in Cleveland.
