 (just an opinion, that's all)

Without the common man, the rich have nothing. The rich have no innate value greater than any one of us. They put their pants on one leg at time, just like the rest of us. A great civilization is made up of individuals working together for the greater good. If we act like a piece of the woodwork, they will treat us like a piece of the woodwork. We all have to start really appreciating our individual value and worth to this country. How long will we allow them to hold our lives, livelihood, dreams and our country at ransom? Why do we sit idly by and watch as they demolish our middle class and make a mockery of our once great country? If we don't want to continually be walked on, here's an idea: GET OFF THE FLOOR!

As I watch the Egyptians rise in protest, I wonder what motivates them so strongly to join arm-in-arm in such large numbers. Even the French rush to the streets when their livelihood is threatened. I have to sit back and admire them for standing up for themselves.

Ok, I'll end here so I can go watch "American Idol" (:sarcasm: :grr:

1. What do we do? What is the solution?
Is there some organizing that can be done that is not just a group of people impotently standing around with signs shouting and chanting but basically ignored because the corporate rich have body guards and hire policemen keeping people away? I wonder if there are really anyone in this country willing to make the sacrifice it would take
to change things.

3. All it really takes is taxation. That is the great equalizer.

5. Choosing to abandon the institutions that are broken
beyond repair, and building a better alternative, one personal decision at a time.

Be the change you want to see in the world
- Gandhi

This is the most profound and powerful idea I have experienced.

7. There's been tremendous interference with the right to free assembly ...
obviously a far less important right than the right to have a gun -- !! :sarcasm:

Understand that the real trigger for our own American revolution was the same thing --

interference with the right to free assembly!

6. Of course we fear their violence -- we've never found an answer to the violence of the few among us.
And, they've now managed to reintroduce TORTURE to the world as an

up and coming idea!

Love your comments --

and clearly the fact that we are not fighting this fascism in our own country

has only helped them in their efforts for wars and moving their weapons into the

hands of the dictators US supports! And, fosters the strength of MIC and CIA.

As I watch the Egyptians rise in protest, I wonder what motivates them so strongly to join arm-in-arm in such large numbers. Even the French rush to the streets when their livelihood is threatened. I have to sit back and admire them for standing up for themselves.

Don't think you could find anyone that isn't amazed at their unity and concern for one another --

even for those who have done harm to them!

If you're going to have a revolt or revolution you have to be ONE!

:)

8. The views of people concerning death and the fear of said,
influence how they live life.

It is not about wanting to die or having no love for life, (we all have the very same, ultimate destiny) it is about living in a collective fear that others can capitalize on because they are certain you will not take the greatest risk to free yourself. When the perceived safety of a life in bondage is preferred to the risks of death that might come with preserving or attaining freedom, the nature of the game is clear.
