Food prices are going to be outrageous if this keeps up.

28. And not just because of fuel prices...
Worldwide, food prices are at record levels affecting the ability of aid agencies to deliver; and now we're looking at possibly HUGE crop failures in China

75. Nah - what GMOs do is to poison the soil with the Death-Nectar of atrizine
while diverting thousands of acres from the production of actual food -- and into the corporo-mutant socialized subsidized ethanol profit-centers for RepubliSocialists.

Don't know where you get this looney conspiracy theory that corporo-mutant GMO crapola causes changes in the weather. Could that be a counterspin black-ops meme put out by corporo-mutant republicrony interests to confuse the issue? We'll certainly need to see a link to a reliable source for that, um, fanciful notion...

'Cause that was talking about crop failures in China, which are caused by a massive drought. At which point you launched into anti-GMO-fever.

12. I paid $3.35 in Seal Beach, CA
I passed other "freeway gas" stations with prices as high as $3.65. For some odd reason, the beach cities tend to have lower prices. I've been hitting the gas station on my way back from dog beach on the weekends.

63. And a bargain at that, considering one liter is about one weeks worth of human energy.
People are asleep regarding this amazingly valuable resource. They fritter it away with flagrant abandon. I'm guaranteed to get massive outrage for even mentioning this point. It's so threatening to our way of easy living to even mention that gas should be far more expensive than it is.

I pay $5 per gallon, and am glad to pay it. It has been $5 here for years. But this is a tourist town. I hate the tourists more than the price of gas. They clog our nice little town. But that's another subject. Related, but off topic.
