Poll question: Egypt Poll #2 If Mubarak DID stay in power 'til the elections, would the elections be fair?
Mubarak's son, if he gets to stay, will be a candidate. Mubarak will insist on HIS people counting the votes. He'll STILL make sure opposition parties stay banned(setting up another false choice between his "party" and the Muslim Brotherhood)

Do you think any elections held with Mubarak in power could possibly be legitimate?

1. You need to read the news a bit more.

Mubarak's son, Gamal, will NOT be a candidate. Particulars for the next election are not yet determined.

2. You're assuming that promise will hold up between now and the fall
Why would you believe a man who has refused to allow multi-party elections for three decades?

We can assume that Mubarak would have total control over the electoral process if he stayed.
