1. I have. Rachel.
I don't boycott things for such reasons.

3. I'm not giving up Rachel because Olbermann and MSNBC
couldn't agree on a contract.

4. It wasn't about the contract. It was other reasons.

5. I didn't ask anyone to give her up, it was a point of personal enlightenment
Which I guess isn't allowed without someone jumping up and down to dispute it.

Why do I hate all politics more and more? No wonder America is oblivious to the bullshit we take as important.

7. I've watched only sparingly - a segment here or there. Usually O'Donnell
And daytime news tv is pretty much a thing of the past now. I'm better for it. I don't know if watching some Al Jazeera was less stressful because I watch it for news of Egypt. But it's been easier to shut it down and walk away.

The tempo of my day is much better. What I don't miss is the drama put behind even the smallest issues. Reading the news allows me to inject how much I care about this or that. The tv news reader isn't there with their own power to persuade.

And I'm reading more books. Last night I started Katharine the Great : Katharine Graham and Her Washington Post Empire by Deborah Davis. I just got ticked off because I got sleepy too early and had to put it down. Now I'm going to see what's new in the news here at DU, go check the AlJazeera site for the latest in Egypt and then pick up the book again.

8. I generally don't watch ANY tv news.
One of the better decisions I've made.

12. Since you posted I respect your viewpoint but I do like Ed Schultz and I think his coverage with
Keith's old crew, that he said he had received after Keith left, has been great! I am not throwing Rachel out either she is also a great reporter and commentator and I won't let them go because now I can watch Keith at 8 pm on Current!
