New GOP Bill Would Allow Hospitals To Let Women Die Instead Of Having An Abortion

SNIP - The controversy over "forcible rape" may be over, but now there's a new Republican-sponsored abortion bill in the House that pro-choice folks say may be worse: this time around, the new language would allow hospitals to let a pregnant woman die rather than perform the abortion that would save her life.

1. The GOP thinks the last suggestion got them into trouble.
What until they hear the backlash from this draconian suggestion.

I'm glad they are out there with this: let everyone behold what heartless bastards they truly are.

10. nah, pigs are not that ignorant nor intolerant. it's simple--if you are in the medical profession,
and are not willing to perform ALL the services required of that profession because of your oh-so-delicate sensibilities, GET THE HELL OUT OF THE PROFESSION RIGHT NOW.

forget this "conscience provision" or whatever the hell it is called that allows someone's so-called religious views dictate what medical care they will or will not give. they need another profession.

6. so how many counties only have a catholic hospital? this, by the way, is, or at least used to be,
the catholic church's stand--let the woman die. i remember (vaguely) a movie years ago that had that exact scene. the woman was pregnant, seriously ill, and the doctors wanted to perform an operation that could save her life, but possibly terminate the fetus. her brother, a priest, refused to allow this, saying something along the lines of "if she dies, that is god's will. if the operation kills the fetus, that is murder" (can't remember whether she died or not, and cannot remember the name of the movie)

"I think a majority of Americans would agree with us that saving a woman's life should be every hospital's first priority," Alexa Kolbi-Molina, an attorney with the ACLU's reproductive freedom division said. "We all know a woman who has faced a complication in her pregnancy ... we would hope that when that woman goes to a hospital she would be protected and get the care that she needs."

"I think a majority of Americans would believe that a hospital should not be imposing their religious beliefs when providing care, especially life-saving care," she added.

(sorry, alexa, maybe a majority of americans feel like that, an intelligent and rational response, BUT, we are talking the woman-hating, pro-forced birthers here, and they would rather the woman died)

. . . .

That way they don't have to "kill" the baby (embryo). Then they can heroically try to save the woman from massive internal bleeding.

I certainly grew up believing that while a few sociopaths might exist, normal human beings always had some amount of empathy and would not cross certain lines.

In fact, it looks like millions upon millions of "people" are just walking devils.

And many at THIS SITE insist that we should compromise with them.

After all...Our New President is a Pragmatist. And there are many who support Obama who really are AGAINST ABORTION. Shouldn't Obama listen to them? After all they have been working for THEIR CAUSE much LONGER THAN those who SUPPORT GAY RIGHTS FOR ALL AND you could go back to GIVING FEMALES THE RIGHT TO VOTE that has caused this anger against FEMALES.

Just Saying.

24. So you think that President Obama would go against them on this?
I don't. I think he believes the RW MEME that Women who get Pregnant are subject to "THE LAW." He really is in SUPPORT of Marriage and Fetus Rights..

I don't get angry with him about that...but I think that we Misread him in the CAMPAIGN about WHERE HE STOOD. WE THOUGHT...he supported WOMEN'S RIGHTS...but, instead, his view was NUANCED.

Not to say what he thought was WRONG...it was just that he supports the Christian Groups over what THE LEFT thought he supported. Just saying.......:-(

28. It is "amazing" ...how far he goes..
in some territory...that it's hard to even fathom. :-( I worry each day..about what is next that he will support on the Right...that takes away another law or understanding covenant that was made with Democrats.. or those who "THOUGHT, Mistakenly" that they were DEMOCRATS.

It's an amazing thing watching him. We need to be fair about him and realize the MSM is probably dissing him and distoring message....YET we now have access to some Dem/Socialist/Middle Steam Blogs and ALL OF THEM are DECRYING this new OBAMA TILT TO RIGHT on WOMEN'S RIGHTS. Many Women Activists thought we'd won some Major battles for WOMEN'S RIGHTS in the PAST DECADES.

APPARENTLY NOT! WHERE DO WE WOMEN GO FROM HERE? If our own DEM PARTY is CAVING ON US....WHERE DO WE GO? ...Without FUNDING or SUPPORT..we are dead and go back to early 20 Century America. A Google search will show where we Females were back then.....and I wonder how many female Dem Supporters would EVER WANT OR THINK ABOUT ....GOING BACK ...THERE!!! :scared:

27. But, you have to understand that Obama thinks he is doing the "correct thing" in Re-Aligning America
At heart, I don't believe that Obama ever supported Abortion. He sees his two children as the "joy of his life" and I don't believe that (in her heart) that Michelle would support Abortion as it is practiced today.

I think they both believe that "You Get In Trouble"..."work it out" and then ask the American System to help you... and IF we find you DO NOT HAVE A JUST CASE to BRING TO LEGAL SYSTEM...then you need to know you are "doing or did something wrong" in getting Pregnant or getting a woman pregnant. I think the Obama Administrations believes in RESPONSIBILITY OF TEENS to do the MORAL THING ....ON THEIR OWN...while adhering to LAWS.

THEY ARE 'VERY' PRAGMATIC.

33. The Pro-Life movement in the USA is not about life it is about control.
The Pro-life movement is about controlling the sexuality of Women. It is about forced childbirth. Now once that child is born then they do not care about that child. That is why they are against programs which provide that child with medical care, nutrition, clean water, clean air, safe toys, and education. They do not care if the mother dies is the process of having that child. It is okay for that woman to die and the unborn child to die also. It is okay if that woman has other children at home to deny them a mother, because they do not count once they are born. Once a woman or child (in the case of rape or incest) becomes pregnant then they have no value except as the bearer of this unborn child. They lose their value as a person until that unborn child is born, then the they both have no value.

This is the same bunch that wants to define birth control drugs as abortion also. They have reverted to their Puritan Roots and as such believe that sex should is wrong unless you intend to create a child. If you have sex for any other reason it is a sin. Sex except between a married man and woman is a sin. Women who are abused by their husbands are to blame for that abuse because if they were properly submissive to their husband then their husband would not have any reason to abuse them. If a woman is raped by a date or a stranger it is her fault because of the way she dressed, or she was dancing or she asked for it by her actions.

These people would like to take away any right that allows any woman to operate as a Person. That include the right to vote, to own property, to get an education, to get a job and receive payment for that job. If this sounds like the radical side to the Muslim Religion, it comes from the same Anti-Woman roots that are found in Judaism and Christianity. All three of these religions come from the same roots and have born the same hatred for Women.

Is this what you want for your Daughters and Granddaughters?

Are Men still so afraid of Women that they must reduce her back to property and slave?
