GOP Rep. Franklin Says No Such Thing As Rape Victim
Georgia Republican state Rep. Bobby Franklin (of gold-standard-wannabe fame) has introduced a bill to change the state’s criminal codes so that in “criminal law and criminal procedure” (read: in court), victims of rape, stalking, and family violence could only be referred to as “accusers” until the defendant has been convicted.

From now on I will only refer to the GOP as the Pro-Rape Party. :grr:

3. I think I understand the strategy. Maintain accuser status until it's too late to legally abort.
Diabolical.

Oh Bobby, you dick. You so need a dick in you.

4. Is the paragraph about burglary, fraud, etc. true?
Are the people accusing someone of that referred to as "the victim" in court? I thought that was the kind of language courts try to avoid anyways.

5. Rep Franklin needs to go with a woman after she's been raped to the hospital for the "rape kit"
medical exam.

He should sit with her and watch as she weeps stoically enduring the humiliation so the perp can be nailed.

That girl/woman is a victim. And the guy who faces her in the courtroom is the accused. I dare Rep Franklin to tell that woman that she is simply an "accuser" instead of a victim.

I hate false accusations, I get that defense attorneys don't want their client unfairly tarred. But their clients are the accused, while the victim is still the victim. Burglary "victims", assault and battery "victims", robbery "victims" are so much more obvious I suppose than a rape victim but that doesn't mean these aren't still victims.

Its telling that this guy doesn't any other class of "victims" to be called "accusers", only rape victims.

He's pro-rape in my book. He's got skeletons in his closet, I'd bet on it. Why else do these losers want to change the terminology?

6. I could change his mind in an hour
But it's not legal. Or moral.

Damn.

And I wouldn't even rape him - I'd just introduce him to the invertebrate practice of traumatic insemination.
