I'm going to have to disagree. Transference of power to the people could be bad for RICH PEOPLE but great for POOR PEOPLE.

1. "bad for rich people" is probably what they mean by "exceedingly dangerous"
The global elites could give less of a shit about danger for the rest of us...

2. You mean, like Bankers and Wall Street malfeasance?
Their "unrest" was, and is, "exceedingly dangerous" for the global economy...

5. I don't see why you think it's a joke. Oil has already risen sharply.
I support pro-democracy movements however substantially higher oil prices will be economically disasterous.

6. oil has already risen sharply because of speculation or was it
because it's more expensive to process gasoline in the winter, or was that the summer, but recently I read there is an overabundance of refined petroleum in storage which should drive prices down. That along with the winter storms that are causing folks to stay home instead of running hither and yon.

But what do I know, I'm just a shlub trying to make it to the end without losing it all.

4. Why would it benefit poor Americans?
It's only going to push up the price of oil. That won't help the poor any.
