I have written him several times (e-mail and snail-mail) asking to be removed from any and all address/e-mail lists he uses, and he continues to send me noxious printed matter and e-mails.
I have no idea how he got your e-mail address -- I suspect he may have a mole at a petition site or two (no doubt receiving any pro-women's rights mailing list or pro-environmental list would tickle him silly).
The man is an insufferable egoist, flushed with success after seeing three justices removed from the Iowa Supreme Court, following their unanimous decision that the Iowa Constitution overrides and negates any law preventing gay marriage.
Three judges rotated up for retention vote in November's election, and Rep. King and ultra-conservative VanderPlaatz from Sioux City led the campaign* to have them removed from the Iowa Supreme Court. (The Western WingNuts of Iowa Coalition is now demanding that the remaining judges resign.)
The replacement judges will be appointed by our Republican Zombie Gov Branstead, who wants to do away with Iowa's universal pre-school education and also "save money" by cutting funding for women's clinic services for low-income women. (All heart, our Leader Terry is -- women and children first).
I fear that Steve King (IA-05) honestly believes that the only reason some people don't agree with him is we don't "understand" his opinions yet, and this scattershot e-mail thing is his attempt to pound us into seeing things his way.
But none of the liberals I know could be that stupid if they tried . . .
Peace.
