WTF? Freepers cheering Mubarak.
Edited on Wed Feb-02-11 11:15 PM by Fuzz
Bodies of 3 dead protesters seen being carried toward ambulance after automatic weapons fire directed into square come from at least three locations as pro-Mubarak and anti-gov't rioters clash.

Bummer - but it’s nice to see Mubarak fighting back, regardless of what Obama DEMANDS.

You and the Jerusalem Post have no idea who shot whom. You sound like Amanpour or Anderson Cooper.

“Be nice to see Mubarak utterly crush the Obama supported Muslim Brotherhood mobs.”

Amen, brother. It will be nice to have a leader we can look up to...even if halfway around the world, in another country.

LOL! Oh CNN. Yeah that is a good source. Anderson Cooper works for them and so did Amanpour. The same idiots who fawn over Obama daily. More idiots brainwashed 24x7 in HD.

11. Of course they support him...
he was a great 'friend' to Reagan (they came into office the same year), and that was the same time that the administration had not yet decided that Marcos and Noriega were 'bad guys', and that administration was also a good ally of Saddam Hussein. We supported *all* of the dictators, as long as they served our purposes. As LBJ once said, "He's a bastard... but he's OUR bastard."

14. Are you really surprised?
These people are into authoritarianism and most assurdedly anti-democratic. They are anti-socialists, after-all. The fact that they see progressives and Obama siding with the people fighting for their democracy means that must support the other side. What would really blow their pea brains is if Dick Cheney comes out for regime change.

As usual, they are on the wrong side of the issues and history. What else is new?

18. I'm a little, just a little surprised that 'viva mubarak' comes on a day where people are being
killed, people who were protesting peacefully. But then again, they are people they disagree with, so maybe not. They would love to shoot at us too and install Palin for life.

25. What's interesting is that the party line must be solidifying around supporting Mubarack.
Given the rather speedy and tumultuous generation of this event, I suspect most of the regressives were unsure of who and what to support. We, otho, pretty quickly can understand where our allegiance is - with the people, against the dictatorial government. Now that they understand who we support and getting their pretzel logic twisted to support Mubarak, they can start to seed the sites, like freerepublic, and get the troops in line with the 'right' position. Hence, the people are bad, the dictator is good. Now they can attack Obama and the Democrats for not supporting the Mubarak regime. They'll probably be demanding that an expeditionary force be deployed to Egypt to protect Mubarak's government.

This is why Rand Paul's poll numbers went up after the curb stomping incident. Something in their DNA triggers outright joy when they see liberals getting clubbed, shot at or beaten. These guys just can't help themselves.

So if he thinks a dictator should step aside so the people can try to create a better government, he must be wrong.
