3. It really depends, having known a few
and depends on parents.

I know of one kid who came and worked his ass off to help people... his dad said, you cannot get the keys to the family company until you show me you got a social conscience. His dad is a self made man. His son grew up in a fairly sheltered home... and he was one of my best all time medics.

He, and a few others... (see the Kennedy's at a larger level) do have this concept of Noblese Oblige... others, not so much. But it really depends on their parents.

Paris Hilton is the absolute example of the other side though.

Oh and this kid... he could have sold dad's company once his dad died, and retire on that... he really could. Instead he went to school full time, and did his 20 hours of volunteer EMS once a week, and later became one of my volunteer trainers... he even got a bunch of really basic CPR dummies to train civilians. He ran those classes on his own.

Last time I checked, he runs the company, and he runs it with the help of the head of his union... and he has told his kids the same thing... so they will be future EMTs, or any other social service thang, before they move on.

4. I'm impressed: our sororities and fraternities just seem to march around the
residences doing their songs and chants - these girls are way better!
