2. Protest is growing.
Edited on Tue Jan-25-11 02:23 PM by Better Believe It
It appears that the government security forces are lined up on the bottom half of the picture and the demonstators lines the avenue just above them.

It also appears that the protestors numbers are growing.

Hard to tell exactly what's going on, it's dark.

Boy, they are getting much louder!

5. The beginning of the toppling of the Global Corporate tools
I imagine they are very worried since the fall of Tunisia's government.

There were protests in other countries this week also.

Too bad we are always on the side of the dictators.

People will only tolerate brutal oppression for so long.

I wish them well, and I hope they succeed in establishing a real democratic state.

6. This also will ring in the beginning of the end of the internet as we know it because

that's how they organized and that presents a problem to the elites.

7. Not if the people win ~
Actually that would probably cause a revolution here. I can't imagine anything more likely to get people off their rear-ends here than to have their IPods, computers, cell phones blocked from the internet. That is what keeps them at home, rather than in the streets.

If the elites are smart, that is one thing they will not do. Although it might be what we need to get something moving here :-)

8. It won't be sudden. It'll be like boiling a frog. The Comcasts of the web will
simply make it more difficult to get to certain sites. They'll keep perezhilton and TMZ to keep the rabble entertained. Good luck trying to voice your frustrations of not being able to peruse your favorite lefty blogs because you'll be labeled a lunatic conspiracy theorist.

If the people win? That will just usher it in quicker.
