IMO, it lost Dems the House--and in a census year, to boot. Whatever its cause, that loss is going to haunt Dems for a minimum of ten years.

Imagine November 2010, if March 2010 had seen passage of something close to Medicare for all or even a strong public option.

1. I don't believe the ACA cost the Democrats the house.
The lack of a public option hurt. And extending the Bush tax cuts really hurt. Then it was your typical midterm in turnout. But turnout was also depressed because of the above.
