In my continuing celebration of President's Day, I searched for a honest picture of Eisenhower,
circa 1953.

I came across these and thought I would share them.

(I would give a lot to know what the photographer's instructions to Tricky and Pat Nixon were.)

(Looks like a PAC?)

The more I look online at photos of U.S. Presidents, the more it seems that most photos of Presidents that are online were retouched.

For instance, looks as though this is a Life Magazine cover from 1952 is unretouched, for whatever reason.

But Ike's face has far fewer lines and signs of in this Life cover photo, from later in 1952.

Most photos of Eisenhower as President that I am finding online show a relatively unlined face and much fewer signs of age than the unretouched Life cover, even photos from almost ten years later.

Damn my lying eyes!

2. Who are these guys with Nixon, No Elephants?
The middle guy is some sort of Arab royalty no doubt.

3. I believe the man on your left is Eisenhower.

His face looks a little different from that angle, but the hair is about the same.

Judging by his robe (or thwab) and white head covering, the man in the middle is a Saudi.

That's all I know.

Interesting because I think I detect a fashion change. Whatever it is that holds the scarf on the head seems thicker than Saudis wear today.
