Conspiracy Theory: Olbermann's Tweets
Edited on Fri Jan-21-11 09:24 PM by Clio the Leo
Keith often Tweets "show plugs" to let viewers know what will be on the show. At 6:25pm EST he Tweeted....

ShowPlugLast: And back where we started on Fridays with Thurber: The Peacelike Mongoose.
http://twitter.com/#!/KeithOlbermann/status/28593987463942144

and then at 7:30pm EST

ShowPlugSupplemental: We will have a slight change in the Thurber selection tonight
http://twitter.com/#!/KeithOlbermann/status/28610512082182145

So did he know he was out (and i think he was fired, he didn't quit) when he did the first Tweet, choosing to read as his last story the first one he did? Did he find out AFTER and switch up the story? Hmmmm?

Either way, I think the story choices were a not so subtle clue. As soon as we call calm down, might want to listen again.

ETA: And was Rachel previously scheduled to be off tonight? Or did she sit out in protest? ..... Gotta go back and see if I can find if/when Chris Hayes mentions hosting for her.

6. He looked calm and even jovial
He mentioned the last time he had to bid farewell to his audience in which they gave him 10 minutes. This time he took his time, and then read the Thurber short story, "The Scotty That Knew Too Much". It was classy. He even signed off by throwing papers at the camera so the 'glass' would break.

8. Aha! I'll bet he did choose the Thurber story because of what happened.
It was about a Scotty dog who thought he could handle an animal other dogs stayed far away from...one that was black with a white stripe. Of course, it turned out he discovered WHY they stayed away. Then, it was a porcupine he challenged...and found out why he should stay away from it.

I'm still in shock.
