Father loses son and daughter same day as wife's funeral
Excerpt:

Three people were killed on their way to a funeral in a crash in Montgomery County Thursday morning. The crash happened around 10 a.m. on State Road 47 near County Road 600. A semi tractor trailer overturned onto a vehicle in the crash.

People die in car accidents every day

The odds of siblings being killed on the way to their mother's funeral are very low but not zero, eventually it would happen to someone.


This does not diminish the anguish this poor man must be feeling. I don't want to sound like I have some "That's The Breaks" attitude toward this. It is simply a fact that low probability events happen regularly.


Maybe believing in an Almighty being will help him through this. Maybe it will make him wonder why he is being punished by this being and maybe it will change his mind about this being's existence. Hell, maybe he already doesn't believe. I have no idea.

In any case it won't hurt to pray. The very worst that can happen is nothing.
