“Saadi Gaddafi to establish an Islamic Emirate”

Sheikh Ould Assalek revealed that Gaddafi’s son said he is aiming to establish an Islamic Emirate from the Touareg region, south of Libya, and seeking to mobilize his fellows for this purpose through the hard-line Salafi ideology.

In an exclusive statement to Echorouk in Dubai, Ould Assalek asserted that he talked to Saadi Gaddafi in a three hours meeting, but did not want a press interview because Saadi do not like appearing to media in the current time.

Echorouk asked Sheikh Ould Assalek whether the meeting with Saadi was easy, and he explained that his friend knows Saadi Gaddafi, and is closely linked to him.

“My friend helped me in the mission of reaching Gaddafi’s son, but he did not promise an interview with him. After a long trip from Nouakchott to Dakar, then Niamey, a plane landed at 13:00 pm of last November 14. My friend called Assadi assistants, and a meeting after the Maghreb prayer of the next day was fixed”, he added.
