Russia urged Syria`s Regime: Reforms, end of Violence & free Elections
(DP-News - agencies)

“Russia abstained on the latest resolution. It is an explicit message to the
Syrian President: reforms, end of violence, free elections,” Mikhail
Margelov, the head of Russia’s Upper House Committee for International
Affairs stressed.

Russia comments that the latest UN human rights resolution condemning
Syria's deadly eight-month crackdown on anti-government protestors is a
clear signal to President Bashar al-Assad to curb violence and launch
reforms says.

“This is what the Syrian leader should do immediately, today, although
he should have done it yesterday, even the day before yesterday.”
