Republican aspirants accused of lying ads
November 26, 2011

WASHINGTON: Republican frontrunner Mitt Romney has come under fire for misquoting President Barack Obama in his inaugural TV ads of the 2012 campaign, aired on Thursday in New Hampshire.

Another Republican aspirant, Texas Governor Rick Perry, has also been accused of airing “blatant untruths” in his TV ads.

The ads came just as Obama travelled to the state.

The ads selectively quote the president to make it appear he is saying one thing when he is saying another.
