Rich people getting richer is the most important thing in the world. Amazingly. Irrationally. Incomprehensibly. One would think satisfying human curiosity of our world would be the most important thing. It brings the most delight. But most people on the planet must occupy their lives struggling to survive instead, so that rich people can get richer.

The folks bringing us the news are in the wealthy elite, and are persuaded that they will never slip, never fall off the treadmill, never have to worry about where their next meal is coming from. One third of everyone in the country is poor or nearly poor? All you'll hear is how it's your own fault, and certainly has nothing to do with the relentless transfer of wealth in the country from the workers who create the wealth to the elites who suck it up.
