Black (eye) Friday at a Central New York Walmart

(WSYR-TV) – Just after midnight on Black Friday, a fight broke out at the Walmart in Rome, according to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office.

At 12:01 a.m., just as shoppers were allowed to enter the electronics department, the sheriff's office says a few shoppers were pushed to the ground and several fights broke out.

The sheriff's office says two people were transported to Rome Memorial Hospital.

Laurie Underwood of Rome was transported with pain on her left side and lower back and Melinda Wishart of Rome was transported with a back injury from a fall, according to the sheriff's office. .............(more)

4. A PR Nightmare...

So far this morning I've read about fights, pepper spraying and a shooting at some Wally World out there. Yeah...this is surely gonna make me wanna run over there at 10:00 or midnight or whatever obnoxious hour they start their holiday "greedfest" :sarcasm:

Fortunately I never set a foot in or near a Wally World...and still can't understand the need to swallow all the hype. Good chance whatever they're trying to unload will be back on sale in the days before xmas or shortly thereafter. In such a tough economy the "fun" of shopping isn't much "fun"

This crap happens every year and it doesn't seem to stop anyone from going.

7. These people have completely lost sight of what matters.

And the corporate masters LOVE it! People will fight each other for cheap plastic crap at Wal-Mart, but won't fight for democracy. Priorities people! If they fought like this for their future, we'd all be in a better place right now.
