In case you ever wondered why this country is in the sorry state it is, there's nothing like Black Friday and Wal-Mart to bring the point home.

Shootings, pepper-spray attack mar Wal-Mart Black Friday sales

"...customers were already in the store when a whistle signaled the start of the Black Friday sale at 10 p.m., sending shoppers hurtling in search of deeply discounted items.

Lopez said that by the time he arrived at the video games, the display had been torn down. Employees attempted to hold back the scrum of shoppers and pick up merchandise even as customers trampled the video games and DVDs strewn on the floor..."

1. If the mayors sent riot police to Wal-Mart
People wouldn't show up there, either.

Actually, more people have been hurt this Black Friday than during OWS (not counting people the cops have hurt--I'm talking about crimes committed by the "dangerous" protesters we're supposed to be fearing).

3. Don't be so narrow minded..
They also riot in support of child rape enablers..

Not a single Pepperspray Cop to be seen, either.

15. I gather it's a fairly regular thing there in Happy Valley..
The riots I mean..

I read that several places and no one seemed to really disagree so I suspect it's probably true.

6. Yes. I'm certain that it's all "no really, after you" at other Wal-Marts throughout the country.
But I envy your optimism.

Lol. Um, looks like you're the one bringing that to this thread. Talk about an over-reaction. Wow.

8. The people who camp out in front of a Walmart are not the brightest bulbs in the first place.
I'd bet if you walked that line and asked them what "OWS" meant, very few, if any, would be able to tell you. But they could probably tell you who is on DWS next week.

14. Lexicology note: 'scrum of shoppers' refers to a term adopted
Edited on Fri Nov-25-11 02:18 PM by coalition_unwilling
from the British game of rugby, where a scrum, a small group of players, clusters over the ball and jointly move it forward.

Alternately, 'scrum' is the short form of 'scrotum' :)
