This was amazing to see-- I was on the main picket line on Carlos Bee, the main entrance to CSU East Bay, when I looked up the hill and saw a sea of red-shirted strikers marching and dancing from another picket line to join us for lunch. This is what I saw coming over the hill, LOL. A brilliant prof organized strikers into a flash mob on the spot and choreographed them for this. And yes, that is the main entrance drive into campus, so you can see that we closed it, utterly.

Kudos to the drummers who showed up with everything from plastic buckets to beautiful and powerful instruments. They kept our toes tapping and knees bobbing all day. And organization. The faculty at CSU East Bay and our CFA staffers organized EVERYTHING perfectly. They had systems and procedures in place to handle exigencies most of the rest of us never even anticipated. It was a flawless strike.
CSU East Bay faculty ROCK! Solidarity!
