2. For me it's like the Libyan revolution again
I was obsessed and spent so much time watching Twitter.

Only this time, it's here. It's my country. It's finally, finally, my people rising up.

Watching Tim's coverage in the middle of such a huge crowd makes me feel real uncomfortable.

12. Marching in the Loop in Chicago right now
My daughter just sent this office notice to me:

Loop Demonstration/Rally in Progress - Possible Transportation Delays

The City of Chicago has informed us of protest activity taking place today, November 17, 2011. The Service Employees International Union (SSEIU) Local 1 will begin assembling at 3:30pm at the Thompson Center for a demonstration. The group is expected to begin marching at approximately 4:00pm. The anticipated route is north on LaSalle Street from Randolph, towards the LaSalle Street Bridge. A “Civil Disobedience Act” is expected to take place when the group arrives at the bridge. Street and pedestrian traffic in the vicinity of LaSalle and Wacker will be impacted. The city has anticipated approximately 500 - 600 patrons in attendance for this protest.

The police will be in full force and have started setting up barricades along Lake and LaSalle Street. They anticipate this to cause a traffic disruption for approximately 2 hours.

The shuttles will begin an alternate route along Kinzie Street to Canal instead of the normal route from Clark to Randolph and Canal. Please plan accordingly as delays are expected due to major arteries being affected. We will provide updates as more information becomes available.

Edited on Thu Nov-17-11 06:49 PM by WildNovember
on livestream was talking with another guy -- The UNY people acting as though they're in charge, barring people from areas, acting as de facto police, not giving info or giving bad info, possibly steering people into traps...looks like UNY is unions....unions are listed on their face page, which i can't connect to at the moment, getting a database error.

23. Seattle is marching to the U District right now...
from Seattle Central Community College, up Broadway. Meet up and rally at Montlake Blvd NE & NE Pacific St, near the University Hospital in Seattle. Then March on to University Bridge.

Unions are planning to be there. Large group was sent ahead to Montlake, in case the smaller march is stopped before it makes it the U District.

http://www.emergencystream.com/video_streams/NY/NYC3/a.html

Check out the messages on the building, the one that had the 99% signal! I saw it say Occupy X (where x stands for a place with an Occupy camp), and the x kept changing and going faster and then it ended with "Occupy Earth" and then it said "We Are Winning!" and the last thing I saw was "Love".
