police overtime is not helping their bottom lines. OWS will be able to outlast the aggressive tactics because the cities are just being put more and more in the red.
How long will taxpayers tolerate that?

3. I think the cities are making a big mistake fighting OWS but I also

think pushing them into bankruptcy is a mistake for us. Cities are our base and they are the foundation we want to rebuild.

9. I understand that. I just do not want them selling all our city property

to the highest bidder to get out of debt. Nor do I want a city manager to replace the mayor and put austerity measures into place.

10. Unless you're in MI, you don't have to worry about a city manager's coup.

And mayors can't issue new debt or sell property without getting a city council involved. Which then leads to all sorts of questions about where the money went and how come the mayor blew it all to keep people from sleeping in a park.
