I hung out with the 1% tonight...
Swanky townhouse in Greenwich Village, all white decor and lots of fancy artwork (also a fancy french poodle).

The wine and drinks flowed freely and attendees hobnobbed with each other and with "special guests" -- even Billionaire Mayor Bloomberg was there.

Funny thing was, we were all there to raise money for the Democratic Party; specifically to raise money for Democratic House candidates who want to take back Congress so they can raise taxes on the wealthy, protect women's rights and support equality for gays.

Call us crazy, but its how we like to spend our evenings.

(nb - Nancy Pelosi was there, and will be appearing on The Daily Show tonight).

1. They can't figure out why so many in the 99% want them to have more and more money.
I can't either.

2. Limousine liberals may be annoying
but I'll take them anyday to a limousine conservative.

3. Take back Congress? Too bad these things weren't done in 2009
While you and are your 1% are hobnobbing the rest of the country is trying to figure out how to get/keep their jobs and/or homes. Maybe y'all should get out and mingle a bit with normal folks.

6. When Democrats do well, the country does well. That's the undeniable truth.

8. Thanks brooklynite!
I did a short stint in the Village in the late 70s... can never quite explain to my Colo friends the appeal of NYC... but it holds on to my heart dearly.

And big thanks to the 1% who are willing to stand up for the rest of us!

9. Bloomberg?
Is he back to being a Democrat? I thought his latest flavor was an Indy.
