Our eldest son...
who works in the "Sears" tower in Chicago has been interviewing, photographing and generally supporting the Occupy Chicago protesters for weeks now. Yesterday he told us that he is writing a play for the group: loosley based on Dickens "A Christmas Carol". The group accepted his offer and will produce, direct and find actors for the performance sometime during the Christmas season. I hope that DU'ers in the area will try to see it and support the group that is living small so that we can think about how to re-invent ourselves into a healthier and more humane society.

4. Timeless
Last time I saw The Christmas Carol just a few years ago I was reminded and surprised at how relevant the story is today, if not moreso than it was in Dickens' time.

5. I already see Rahm as Scrooge.
He needs to wake the fuck up about OWS; he's on the wrong side of history on this one.

9. Congrats to you son and --
I love the way you put that:

the group that is living small so that we can think about how to re-invent ourselves into a healthier and more humane society

Very poetic and very beautiful. And very true.
