Crosby, Nash to play concert for Occupy protesters in NYC today
Just in from Pollstar.com

Longtime musicians and activists David Crosby and Graham Nash are scheduled to perform a concert at the Occupy Wall Street protest site in Manhattan's Zuccotti Park.

The Occupy Wall Street website says the Tuesday afternoon concert will be an acoustic set of protest songs.

but also no livestream on the OWS site either. Boohoo....

4. They never stopped.
I've been going to CSN/Y shows for decades. They always talk between songs about political issues. These guys are definitely not bandwagoners!

16. Goody! Are you a musician/song writer or a music event organizer...?
Can't wait to hear what you come up with.

14. Awesome! Saw them in 1974 with CSNY
At Roosevelt the night Nixon resigned.

Graham Nash came out and yelled an announcement:

"THE FUCKER RESIGNED!!!"

We all went crazy with joy.

Then they played

"Long Time Gone"

It's been a long time comin'
It's goin' to be a Long Time Gone.
And it appears to be a long,
Appears to be a long,
Appears to be a long
Time, yes, a long, long, long ,long time before the dawn.

Turn, turn any corner.
Hear, you must hear what the people say.
You know there's something that's goin' on around here,
The surely, surely, surely won't stand the light of day.
And it appears to be a long,
Appears to be a long,
Appears to be a long
Time, yes, a long, long, long ,long time before the dawn.

Speak out, you got to speak out against the madness,
You got to speak your mind,
If you dare.
But don't no don't now try to get yourself elected
If you do you had better cut your hair.
`Cause it appears to be a long,
Appears to be a long,
Appears to be a long,
Time, such a long long long long time before the dawn.

It's been a long time comin'
It's goin' to be a long time gone.
But you know,
The darkest hour is always
Always just before the dawn.
And it appears to be a long, appears to be a long,
Appears to be a long
Time before the dawn.
(David Crosby)
