Two boys 16 and 12 killed at their aunt's house by US drone
TWO boys have been killed by a missile fired from a US drone only three days after attending a public meeting to draw attention to the mounting civilian death toll from drone strikes in Pakistan.

Tariq Aziz, 16, and his 12-year-old cousin, Waheed Khan, were killed last Monday on their way to Tariq's aunt's home in Norak near the Afghan border, in a strike that undermines US claims that missiles targeting militants cause no civilian casualties.

Someone needs to give that drone a peace prize.

4. That joke was offensive
but what is truly morally outrageous is that most Americans do not object to the countless innocent people who get killed as "colateral damage" in our wars.

31. Poor taste and extremely cold joke, ever more so in hindsight.
The drone program is evil and hurts more than helps national security and world peace.

...the case in the past that it's overblown.

Such tragedy either way...

There are interesting questions to ask the government that harbored Bin Laden in a residential neighborhood for the better part of a decade.

You, meanwhile, are posting clips from The Prom off of YouTube.

21. So you're cool with that joke?
It doesn't bother you at all?

This whole drone strike strategy is going to sooner or later backfire on the USA in a spectacular fashion, it's certainly destroying any remaining moral authority this country might have had left after Dubya's clusterfuck of two land wars in Asia.

23. In the entire checklist of shit that bothers me,
I find that a joke that the President made at The Prom is pretty low down.

But again, keep posting about your outrage over a joke, rather than asking the tough questions--like, where should our relationship with the country who harbored Bin Laden go from here? Are Pakistan's nukes secured? Can we draw down without the use of predator drones?

28. Really? Maybe in your mind but if I'm faced with a choice
of killing a couple of "terrorists" who are standing near children.. I would probably WAIT like a fucking sane human being.

The only thing uncomfortable here is you trying to defend the slaughter of children.

19. Some might call that a war crime
But of course, since it's the star-spangled U. S. of A. doing it, it's not a war crime. There are subtleties of international law that are just too inscrutable to be explained to the hoi polloi, so just take the administration's word for it. They're Democrats, you know, so you libruls keep quiet about it.

Agreed.
The extent to which Obama has take murdering at will, extra legally, on a world wide scale, will ultimately be his legacy. It is a door once opened that will be piled through by other nations and probably will never be closed again.
