Strong men share their cayenne authority with young women, who tear up at the pasture: spare the rod, spoil the sport. Young men gagged over coals of asphalt and pepper. Sectioned crowds are easier to force feed horse flesh and matching outfits of copper and blood. Soldier shot contesting social injustice while the whole world is wanting, and camera phones capture the creature feature for the spider's dew-drowned web. Clubs lined up for hours outside the roped-off people, twitch and sway, hoping for a chance to engage a fresh mind. The for lease come and level the tents, but the field remains slant.

The living rise from their watery graves and (w)hole communities commune with civil disobedience under a distant star that rises in the East, but won't set in the West. Foreclosed saints chant for the washed-up debris on the streets and parks after hours. Forgotten strays find our memories, and some company too. The social conscientious inhales hawks, and exhales doves, which may make some nervous. Signs are spread from ear to ear and the message becomes more clear with each passing fray: the whole world is changing.
