The Latest Facebook Picture Demeaning The Occupy Movement
Edited on Mon Nov-07-11 10:32 PM by ChoppinBroccoli
See if you can spot the gaping hole (aka LIE) contained in this. Hint: notice the part about, "not getting any free handouts," then read pretty much everything written before that.

Edited on Mon Nov-07-11 10:56 PM by ThoughtCriminal
The 1% spit on your service:

For the past two months, the unemployment rate among veterans who have left active duty since 2001 has steadily climbed, from 9.8 percent in August to 12.1 percent in October. That puts the current rate more than three percentage points above the civilian unemployment rate.

Edit to add:
http://www.outsidethebeltway.com/1_in_4_homeless_are_veterans/
Veterans make up one in four homeless people in the United States, though they are only 11 percent of the general adult population,

12. Indeed, the 1% find useful idiots like that expendable at best.
This little reminder can't be quoted often enough, it seems.

"Military men are dumb, stupid animals to be used as pawns for foreign policy."

- Henry Kissinger

quoted by Bob Woodward in The Final Days, 1976

9. Gen. Smedley Butler USMC...
Said this.... "My mental faculties remained in suspended animation while I obeyed the orders of the higher-ups. This is typical with everyone in the military."
Gen Smedley Butler... 2 Medals of Honor... 8 Purple Hearts.

This young man certainly fits that quote.

Free food, housing, medical/dental/optical aren't available in other jobs.

He's also some kind of Boot... or whatever the Army calls them. He ain't seen shit yet. His "hard work and sacrifice" may end up being a lot harder than he thinks.

In the Corps, we would have said... "Hey... Fucking New Guy... STFU until you grow some hair on your balls."

25. Reminds me of a friend of mine
We both got out the navy about the same time. He worked at the same car dealer I did for about a year. Then he became a cop, then he became a public school teacher, his wife is an FBI agent. All he can do is complain about how people who live off the government are destroying the county. Now he is out of work, lost his house, and it's all the fault of Obama and the unions.

Now I work for a defense contractor and every day I hear my co-workers whine about government spending...it's actually kind of amusing. Especially coming from my very conservative manager who just got laid off.

1. He's an E-1, and hasn't been in long enough to use GI bill benefits "Next year I will be paid to go to college".
2. "Lots of room for promotion" When you're at the bottom already, it's kind of hard to not to move up in the Army.
3. "Guaranteed position with a decent salary". Not gonna happen being a field grunt. Might get a job, might be yet another unemployed veteran.
4. Talk to me when you've been in the Army a minute.

I'm already pissed that McCain is looking to take away the health care that I was promised and earned. Don't push your luck you little douchebag.

Edit to add: Show us the courage of your convictions. Show your face you fucking coward.

47. Awesome. Thanks!

Not meaning to detract from CB's OP, but take a look;

They tried to pull http://www.balloon-juice.com/2011/10/15/we-are-the-53-using-fake-images-nigerian-dude-living-in-spain-not-really-a-53-percenter/">this one on everyone last month. Somehow I doubt the morons became anymore skeptical and are all over this one too. Now, it's possible I'm wrong, but I doubt it. In this new one, they were careful to cover more of his face to make finding the original photo more difficult. I'm no good with P/S, so I'm not going to try to do the work the guy did on the "Dgangu Mutambe" hoax.

Unless this obviously young man has an unfortunate hand condition, that's not his hand holding the note.

Look Close;

Like I said, I could be wrong and this kid is just really ignorant, but until the rest of the facts come out I'll let you all decide.

That black outline going down the right edge of the paper tells me that the note was photoshopped on top of another photo. I know almost nothing about Photoshop, but I've seen enough movies to be able to spot bad CGI.
