I know a lot of people on DU have twitter accounts.
I do not send them myself but I started an account because I got interested in following different people. I had two followers, Move-On and some shopping site (wow). Today I got a notice that I had another follower. I checked his site and it was some libertarian with absolutely polar opposite views to what I hold and naturally I blocked his site.

I dd wonder, however, if these people troll sites like ours to spy on the supposed liberals. It was a little odd and I wonder if this had happened to anyone else.

1. Most of the time someone unwanted follows you, it's a spammer of some sort.
He probably just wants you to buy gold or guns or swampland.

2. Regularly.
Especially if I've been doing heavily political retweeting.

3. Yup
A few places that shan't be mentioned. A few fall in category of...stalkers too.

4. My name on Twitter is different and I haven't posted since #Shakespalin
and I'm still picking up political analysts as followers.

My Twitname must be close to somebody legit.

6. That is interesting,
It would be a good way to fake a false persona and play games with the right wingers.
