1. Seriously, Rove got Cain to be accused of harassment several years ago?

He IS good!

7. I suppose he could be. Along with hundreds of other people.

For all I know, some journalist has been sitting on this for months or years, waiting for a time when someone would finally give a shit.

8. Rove doesn't need Cain anymore since Perry is committing suicide
daily. Rove made Herman Cain popular by manipulating numbers and the media, which is why no one could understand the 'sudden popularity'. Now that Perry has been crashing himself face first into the ground, Rove can dispense with Herman Cain.

This is classic Rove.

If something happens that simply doesn't make sense and the media run with it with wild abandon it's Rove. When the same ass kissing media suddenly turn on the 'special one' it's Rove. After a while it's not so hard to see the pattern.

13. And what really gets me
is that somehow they're managing to at least try to "blame it on the Liberals", drag the liberals into it and bring up the "Poor Clarence Thomas" scenario.
This is a republican establishment take down for whatever reason. Maybe Karl has already put into that brain of his "the math" If they get to convention and Romney doesn't have the delegates, it's a brokered convention and maybe they could bring in whoever they want.

15. Actually there is some truth in that. Rove is not found of the Tbaggers.
And I agree with that. I think it is Rove who is behind the fall of Cain and maybe even Perry's behavior in Denver. However, I wonder who Rove wants to win the nomination? Has he said anything about Romney?

18. Can we be sure this will hurt Herman Cain?
Has any polling been done on this? Repubelickins may not react negatively towards him and they just may circle the wagons in support, unless something more damaging, involving graphic sexuality comes out. In the latter case, Cain could do a David Vitter 'I have sinned, mea culpa and God has absolved me' type of soliloquy.

19. I'm of the impression Rove wants no one in the current....
...Republican field to defeat Obama. He knows Obama is a good orator and speaker, then you have the current Republican establishment refusing to vote for a jobs bill, putting off important bills to name Post Offices, etc. This may help plenty of Republican Congress members in die hard red states (all they have to do is appear to be against Obama on every front)...but won't do jack shit in a presidential election. Romney may get the nomination, but the base won't be there to support them....and its a disaster. After the aftermath of that.....

...the base will be forced to realize and accept that if they want to win, they have to make compromises for canidates they will have to hold thier nose and pull the lever for. Right now they are disillusioned in thinking that they have the general populace behind them and a die hard will win the election and not "die hard". Then Rove can get any canidate he wants in to fight..."Joe Biden". Lets face it, thats who he's really preparing for. He's given up on the short term and looking further long term when memories fade of TARP, Iraq and Afghan wars, etc.
