So a cop accidentally shoots someone in the head with a tear gas canister is forgivin...
But, Do you think for a minute a protester who accidentally elbows a cop in the face when turning around would not be charged with felony assault?

There is a huge double standard in the enforcement of laws. Prosecutors do not like to charge cops with crimes because they need the cops on their side for cases down the road.

On the same note, Prosecutors do not like to drop charges against cops because it pisses off the cops.

The cops and Prosecutors are in the same boat and back each other up.

The criminal justice system is a joke.

1. Not only that, protesters that have committed no crime are arrested
I agree: The criminal justice system, and further, the law enforcement community are jokes.

2. If it was an accident he wouldn't have thrown a flash bang at the people trying to help him.
It was attempted murder.

3. The criminal justice system is worse than a joke. It's a crime.
All those people in prison so that they can be cheap labor for corporations. That's one of the biggest crimes people don't know about.

4. The criminal justice system is indeed a joke; however,
I believe the police have shown remarkable restraint with respect to their treatment of OWS. I cannot prove it, but I believe if the face of OWS was black, instead of white, there would be less restraint.

5. Cops who violate their badge like that are as bad as
priests who mess with little boys.

7. I tend to agree with you. Because NO downside to a cop doing it.
