7. This situation is going to continue and it might not be a bad idea
for those of us who live in the Bay Area to call or email our mayors and tell them we don't want our police forces to be deployed like that, against our peaceful neighbors.
I read tonight that he was hired out of Long Beach, which is bizarre because Long Beach PD has a terrible rep and almost as many problems as Oakland PD.
5. I bet they were high fiving each other for taking out a protester..
Kiss up, kick down, that's the bully mentality and these assholes were clearly bullies.
We continually hear of the "good cops" but for one to actually stand up and point out wrongdoing within the police community is so rare as to be utterly flabbergasting when it happens.
they were no doubt hi fiving and hand slapping when it happened now they know what they did and to who do you think that knowledge plays on their minds?
9. I worked in a PD as a dispatcher for 15 years. About half had had military experience. I am happy
to say in that PD no one would have acted like what I saw in Oakland. I worked 6 months in another PD and quit because I saw assholes that had they not been in uniform would have been in jail for assault and I refused to be a part of that mentality. Not all police are bad people. Police like in Oakland and New York make good cops look bad.
