Hate is a very human response. When someone is hateful it is human nature to be hateful back. It requires active effort to break that cycle.

Don't remember the exact wording, but it was something on the order of "If you cannot run, walk. If you cannot walk, crawl. Just keep moving forward; do not give up."

I've found this very powerful, resonating and applicable to my own particular path...
