The mixing of images from so-called repressive regimes against their own people and police brutality in this country exposes that America is little better. The police and military are at the disposal of the ruling elite just as the army was in Russia prior to the revolution. but eventually the security forces recognized their interests were aligned with those challenging authority - the perfect storm to topple power. It may take time here but I have hope...I'm not for violence but as we saw with our own war for independence from the British monarchy, sometimes it is needed to achieve a better end. Let's hope we can find a peaceful way forward.

I know they were talking about Egypt, Syria and Libya, but somehow including videos from other countries kinda was overkill for me. However I don't see how they could have done this without using those videos too.
The first time I watched it, it was too much for me and brought back too much of the 60s.
Then I watched it again later and it was very powerful.

The hypocrisy of our own government showcases just how far gone we are as a nation.

We don't have the support of our leaders. Our leaders are beholden to the corporations.

So, when we hear Hillary Clinton or President Obama tout the importance of "freedom"
and "peaceful assembly" and how brave people are, for fighting their corrupt governments--we
see how much we've lost in this country.

It should be noted that our government's goals in those Middle Eastern countries are
the same as the goals for our country. Our government sticks up for the protesters
in the Middle East--because they want those governments replaced with leaders
who will play along with the global corporatist/neocon games. In our country, our
leaders are morphing the United States into a global/corporatist/neocon state.

They don't care about "democracy" or "First Amendment rights" anywhere.

However, they pretend that they do--to cloak their true nefarious intentions. I think
it's wonderful that their own lies and hypocrisy are out there for everyone to see.

Many people in this country still believe that our leaders represent us--and this video
clearly shows that our leaders and our government are working against us.
