I Have a Dream
“Now, I say to you today my friends, even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream. I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: / we hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.”

Martin Luther King Jr., I Have a Dream, 1963.

1. I thought we were supposed to use the revised version.
"that all men, except for the gay people who are not sanctified by God, are created equal."

3. I went to DC in the 90s and stood on the steps of the Lincoln memorial
listening to the people around me. What became so clear at that moment was the voices of so many people around me were in all kinds of different languages. Walking peacefully having a conversation in languages that many of us could not understand. That peaceful time was that close to being in our grasp and now it seems to be miles away again. I long for that Dream to come to us soon.
