Kentucky GOP Official: ‘I Feel Like GOING TALIBAN’ On Wall Street Protesters

" Covington, Kentucky city commissioner Steve Frank (R) recently took to Facebook to rail against the Wall Street protesters who are spreading across the country. In a post on Oct. 9, he wrote,

“Turn out the lights on the Occupiers, I feel like going Taliban on them!!!”

The Cincinatti-suburb politician was not shy about explaining his disgust:

Frank elaborated:

”The Taliban, as they see it is resisting occupation. I am resisting the Occupiers and very proud to be a 1%’er. I figured that the irony would be lost on most of the dummies in Occupation Nation who oppose the war in Afganistan because they see us as occupiers. I happen to oppose the war too but for highly different grounds. PS I am proud of our troops and have a son in harm’s way.”

.

Frank’s war analogy is a disconcerting reaction to the peaceful protests http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2011/10/12/kentucky-city-commissioner-i-feel-like-going-taliban-on-occupy-protesters/— as is his comfort comparing himself to Taliban fighters who kill American troops. He is obviously proud to be, in his words, part of the top 1 percent and stands opposed to the 99 Percent movement that is trying to speak for the vast majority of Americans. Although, as civil servant, its highly unlikely that he is actually in the top sliver of American wealth holders.

3. Covington City Commissioner arrested for DUI
Yeah---well I feel like going Taliban on Drunk Driving douchebags.

COVINGTON, KY (FOX19) -

Covington City Commissioner Steven Frank was arrested early Saturday morning for driving under the influence.

Police say the 55-year-old was pulled over for disregarding a stop sign and then taken into custody after it was discovered he had been drinking.

Frank was booked into the Kenton County Detention Center just before 4:30 a.m. He'll head before a judge for his arraignment Monday morning.

Frank was released from jail Saturday afternoon, and posted a note on his Facebook page that read:

"All; I made a seriously bad error in judgment last night and was pulled over and had to spend the night, courtesy of Covington's finest and Kenton County. No one is above the law and I will accept whatever judgment both the courts and you have about my transgression. Everybody involved was professional and courteous and I know that I have let many of you down, my wife most especially. Please, whatever you do, if you are at all close to being over the line; get a cab or call a friend. Mea Maxima Culpa."

Frank has held his commissioner position since January.

7. Not surprising, since your party wants to outlaw contraception and put gay people to death.
Glad you've finally found your Flat-Earth, religion-drunk soulmates, pal.

12. Ummm...doesn't this qualify him as a domestic terrorist?
Not to mention a Taliban supporter?
Where's that drone when we need it Mr. President?
I think there's another US citizen calling for violence upon America,
Taliban style.

Is this guy above the law?
Because I'm fairly certain he broke it with that statement.

13. I'd bet he's probably one of those 19% of Americans who think they're in the 1%. Or does Covington
really pay their commissioners above $460,700 a year?

15. He should sign up as a Geraldo bodyguard or join up with Breightbart in his civil war.
Sad thing is various chickenshits talked tough years before the actual hostilities occurred in America's Civil War. The abolitionist were not exactly real intimidating people. When violent radicals such as John Brown did emerge the tough talkers were in full panic mode. Events have a way of spinning out of control when people insist on violent rhetoric. Yeah right wingers you have much in common with the Taliban.
