Ben Nelson (D-NE) 202-224-6551,

21. I agree, but Senators from small states are cheap to buy
And it only takes a few to control the Senate.

2. Will that be enough for Obama to get 50?
Tester is really making me mad! The other two I would expect. I'm pleasantly surprised not to find Lieberman's name on this list unless he isn't considered a dem senator?

6. yes, but a psychological victory is getting at least 50 votes (with Biden as tie breaker)
showing that if it did get to the floor it would pass.

4. Nelson is a hack.
Manchin is a nut and a ringer.

Tester? Gormless and a disappointment. Back to manure spreader for you, Jonny.

9. Tester: Jobs Bill Needs Changes
Oct. 08--U.S. Sen. Jon Tester, D-Mont., said Friday he will not support President Obama's $447 billion jobs bill unless it's changed to more heavily tilt toward infrastructure projects and has fewer tax cuts.

"I'm not crazy about it and I'm not going to support it in its current form," Tester said while meeting with The Montana Standard's editorial board. "There are a lot of tax breaks in there that aren't going to create jobs."

In a wide ranging interview Tester said he supports spending money on infrastructure, education and research. He said the first stimulus bill helped the country go from losing jobs to gaining ground, but he said any further bills aimed at job creation need to focus heavily on building the roads, bridges and water treatment plants the country needs.

17. He's right and has a point...
The bill SHOULD have more stimulus and fewer tax breaks. He's right and that's a liberal position. More Senators should be taking that position, as should our president.

And yes, I know what the political realities are, but at some point someone and a larger group of someone's presumably under the auspices of being Democrats need to start standing up for what is right and what is just and what is needed and not just what gets President Obama a winning news cycle.

22. He makes good points, why the anger at him?
There SHOULD be more tax cuts, and more building of our collapsing infrastructure. I agree with him. He's doing his job.

10. Why do Dems want to help the GOP/TeaParty keep Bush's economic policies in place?
That's the bottom line to the entire issue.
