So the 54% is okay with 45% of us (almost half)
having crappy minimum wage jobs, no heathcare, foreclosed or underwater homes, massive student debt, absolutely no future, especially if you are unemployed and over 50, and forced bankruptcy with one illness, even if you have carried medical insurance your whole life. Where the executive class makes, what, 400% of what an ordinary worker does. Really, that is the society the WANT to live in?

Perhaps they should take their ideology to the extreme limit, and put their money where their mouths are, just let the 99% know what it is that they do for a living. i am sure there is an unemployed someone/somewhere that will work harder, for longer and for cheaper. If the job pays 45,000, if can certainly be done for $35,000, and personally, being that I make 22,000, I would be damn happy with $30,000. Perhaps RedState can have a bulletin board/exchange type of thing. If they think Wall Streeters are such hero's, for driving wages down, sending American jobs overseas and union busting to maximizing corp profits, no matter what the cost to ordinary Americans, this would seem like a no-brainier, right? If you are going to glorify the wage disparity in America, then go for it all the way. Own this shit.

This is no sour grapes, just good business sense, right 54%ers? So just shut up and do it.

And of course the executive class would be excluded.

OK, I know this is a stupid post, but I just have to believe that many people claiming to be in the 54% haven't really experienced the down shift in lifestyle that many of us have. Since it hasn't happened to them, it just not happening. The others, are just plain stupid, stubborn, and over faux propagandized.

1. They only think what Rush Limbaugh tells them to think
Limbaugh has never let any criticism of the 1% pass his pristine lips. Never. So how would they know any facts?

6. But don't pretend that the income tax is the ONLY tax that matters.
Someone making 12k/yr pays a higher percentage of their income in taxes - FICA, sales taxes, road taxes, etc., - than does someone making 12 million. That 12k earner spends EVERYTHING on necessities and taxes, and has nothing left over. Someone making 12 million, after necessities and taxes, probably has about 5 million left over to spend on luxuries that the 12k earner can't even imagine.

4. I don't know where the 53 or 54 or what ever number
came from, I am just going on 100 - 1% - 54% = 45%,

and those dumbasses need to know that everyone pays taxes, SS and Medicare, sales and property tax, blah blah blah. Lower incomes get a break on federal taxes, as they should, imho

7. I think the 45-47 % number comes from those that don't pay (net) federal
income tax. They either get all they paid in refunded, or an EIC. As to not paying taxes? Hardly. Everyone who consumes pays taxes of one sort or another.

it goes well with the bourgeois "taxpayin' work-for-my-own-living" conservatives--you know, whiners
