SNL Fox news skit......
anyone watching this? It is really sad... because what SNL considers is a joke is actually the reality of the absurdity on the actual network

1. And, even sadder, these opening skits
Are usually the funniest thing on the show, these days. :(

10. Sadder still,
is the President being interviewed by Bill-O. I find that very sad.

12. I certainly agree with you.
The explanation that I've heard is that he agreed to the interview because FOX has the Super Bowl this year, same as he did last year, with Katie Couric, when CBS had the game. But it's really not the same at all, given FOX's extreme bias, and you would think that the president would have had enough after the FOX interview when that guy kept interrupting. I'm sure he'll handle himself gracefully, and wouldn't be surprised if O'Reilly wasn't somewhat deferential, but the president is The Leader of the Free World and shouldn't have to put himself through this crap. Also, the game is on FOX Entertainment, not Noise, big difference. The Entertainment Network is the home of The Simpsons! :D

2. I thought it was hilarious
Hannity foaming at the mouth

Doesn't make it any less true, however.

5. Thought it was funny
I've been hearing about SNL going downhill since the late 70's. It isn't all that bad.

6. SNL has not been in my plans since the 70s and maybe early 80s.
However, I did watch and enjoy the Palin skits by the woman from 30Rock.

Heck, I can't recall her name and had never heard of 30Rock until the skits. lol

13. Yes. But I watched on TV or the internet the Fey SNL skits
and watched several episodes of 30Rock and think Tina Fey is great (and does Palin better than Palin) except Fey the comic cannot mimic the black hole of Palin's heart and soul (in a secular sense, of course).

SNL was a can't miss in the early years with Akroyd, Radner, Curtain, Morris, Belushi, et al but I was so much younger then and older than that now.

8. I thought it was funny and fairly depicted the hypocrisy of the Right
They are simply acting civil while it benefits them. They will go back to the same irresponsible tone as soon as they feel comfortable doing so.
