Switched-at-birth 12 year old girls decide to stay put.

Two Russian families are suing a local maternity hospital after DNA tests showed their daughters had been mixed up at birth 12 years ago and sent home with the wrong parents.

The case came to light when the husband of one of the women divorced her, then refused to pay child support becausse their darker-skinned daughter didn't look at all like him, The Telegraph, a British newspaper, reports from Moscow.

The Telegraph says the two children are now aware of what happened, but neither wants to switch parents.

But the two families, both of which have been through divorces, now are apparently trying to bond.

"We will become friends, introduce our daughters and they will become sisters to one another," says Belyaeva.
