2. You can get the audio podcast for free on iTunes
It usually shows up about 3 days after the original air date. I've been listening weekly for years. Sometimes they do have visual jokes that you're not in on, but for the most part you get most of the enjoyment you would from watching.

Ironically, I just signed up for HBO the other day so I can watch Boardwalk Empire and Curb Your Enthusiasm. I'm so set in my ways with the Real Time Podcast, I probably will still get the show that way and not watch it on TV.

3. I hope he steps back a bit and lets them talk
Sometimes he does. But everyone loves his 'New Rules' because they're always very funny. You can hear his guests laughing their heads off when he does the 'New Rules'.

4. Now available on line!
HBO had been aggressively shutting down any Real Time videos on line, but now there's a blog that's been stable since the new season began. It's got an extensive archive and new shows are up within 24 hours (so far).

Check it out: http://realtimewithbillmaher.blogspot.com

6. Guess I better get my mute button finger in shape
It sounds like a pretty good lineup except for that pompous windbag PJ O'Rourke.

I don't know why Maher insists on having him on the show. He adds nothing and his cute little non sequiturs kill the thread of any conversation that takes place. Worst of all Maher will never shut the douchebag up.

I think they were frat boys at some posh university and smoked a lot of dope together on weekends. Maybe he has pictures of Maher with barnyard animals.

8. Every now and then I get the opportunity to point out that Michael O'Donoghue LOATHED Pj O'Rourke
and thought his humor was amateurish and derivative.
