Proud to be an IRREGULAR AMERICAN! FU, Michael Tomasky Newsweek!
He's on CNN advising the protesters to present themselves as REGULAR AMERICANS like the Teabaggers did!

1. That's the ticket. Tell the protesters they are not REGULAR Americans.
Tell them to look like teabaggers if they want to succeed.

That makes me blow my stack!

5. Yeah, that will create instant credibility.
Since teabags are already spoken for, maybe they could co-opt the banana or the blueberry as their symbol of regular Americans?

I see 2 distinct differences between the 2 groups (other than a penchant to wear teabags or dress up in 1770's clothing)-

1) The teabaggers were co-opted early on by the Republican Party and their broadcast media arm - Fox News to amplify their incoherent message way out of proportion to their numbers. OWS is truly a grassroots movement that needs no front group to manage it.

2) The teabagger enemy was "government" (coincidentally a Democratic President and Congress had just been elected). The OWS enemy is "Big Business". OWS wants government to address the excesses of Big Finance's role that's destroying the economic health of the bottom 99%

It's pretty funny to see teabaggers and Fox News siding with Wall Street. Teabaggers are, by nature, clueless...but Fox News knows what side of the equation they represent.
