Should Hank Williams Jr. remain voice of 'Monday Night Football'?
October 4, 2011 | 10:05 am

Hank Williams Jr.'s classic intro song for "Monday Night Football" -- with its signature line "Are you ready for some football?" -- was pulled from this week's game on ESPN after Williams used an analogy to Adolf Hitler in discussing President Obama.

Should Hank Williams Jr. be permanently removed from the "Monday Night Football" opening?

1. Jeezus I'm glad things are going so well in the USA
that the best thing the LA Times can think to create a poll about is whether ESPN should fire a low life drunk from its monday night football show.

IMO they should, although it really wouldn't be something I'd ever notice.

I gave up on it when they hired Dennis Miller as a color commentator. Haven't watched it for 15 years.

2. Shouldn't he resign and return his income for the last twenty years?
After all, he doesn't believe that people shouldn't associate with people who don't think exactly like they do. If he wants to live in an echo chamber he can go play his guitar for Fox News or the John Birch Society.

4. Surely they can find another has-been country singer to do the theme song!
Maybe Lee Greenwood ... "God Bless the NFL" maybe.

7. Ask the NFL.
Players, coaches, and owners should be the ones to decide if Hank the Skank is who they want out front creating imagery for their game.
