1. They expect Jesus to fix the environment too.
God wouldn't let us fuck the Earth up too much without intervening, you know. We can happily keep polluting until the Rapture, hallelujah!

3. We are screwed
We are really and truly screwed.

"But, according to the study -- commissioned by Baylor University, the National Science Foundation and the John Templeton Foundation -- only about one in five Americans adhere to a purely secular view of the economy. Almost three in four say, "I know God has a plan for me," and within that group, about half believe the government is “trying to do too many things” that should be left to the private sector, eight in 10 believe "able-bodied people who are out of work shouldn't receive unemployment checks” and more than 90 percent believe in the myth that the American economy represents a pure meritocracy in which people are limited only by their innate talents and appettite for hard work."

If this study is accurate, and an overwhelming majority of our fellow citizens actually hold these views, then, frankly, I don't see much hope for this country.

What a downer way to start the day..

:-(

4. Temporarily Embarrassed Millionaires, their faith-based thinking and Protestant work ethic . . .
. . . such an embarrassment. That and throwing workers into a competitive, instead of a cooperative, pool. Who the hell even thinks this is good for American businesses and the economy? No wonder nothing gets accomplished.

9. Faith based economics
and job creationism.

People thought I was joking when I discussed that in my comic strip.

10. Wow.
:wow: That is delusional, magical, one might say schizoid thinking taken to terrifying heights. You are right, owlet, if there are that many morans out there, we are screwn.

6. Defying logic daily.
Treat their fellow man like garbage in God's name, and ask God for favors.

How these people find their way out of bed in the morning is a miracle.
