Poll: Gov. Chris Christie's approval rating increased drastically since May

TRENTON — Gov. Chris Christie's approval rating has increased dramatically since he signed the pension and health benefit overhaul for public workers and publicly led the state through Hurricane Irene.

A Fairleigh Dickinson University PublicMind poll released this morning shows 54 percent of New Jersey voters approve of Christie's performance, while 36 percent disapprove. That's up from a 44 percent even split in May.

The number is the highest approval rating Christie has gotten in a Fairleigh Dickinson poll, although his disapproval ratings were lower early in his term, when many voters had not formed an opinion.

President Obama tries to raise taxes on the wealthy and put people back to work and he has a 38% approval rating.

Whats the matter with this picture?

1. The matter is that Americans are gullible, intellectually lazy and just plain dumb.
It's time to get out of here, this country is lost.

3. Sometimes it is good to question polls. Not so very long ago
his approval rating was way down. The people had
begun to feel the results of his changes.

4. Bye. I refuse to be run out of my country, and
there's no doggone way I'm going to abandon those who are the least of us. My conscience won't allow me to take the easy way out.

There are plenty of people who don't deserve your blanket condemnation, shame on you.

7. You can say you'll refuse but it will happen anyway.
Or you will be relegated to serfdom which is essentially the same thing. What are you going to do? The least fortunate have already been abandoned. And soon you will be one of the least fortunate, most of us will. The game is rigged against us and there is nothing that can be done about it. It's been coming for a long time but the coup of 2000 was the turning point. It's over. The fascists have won. Watch what happens next year. The Republicans will not be blamed for this mess they have created with the help of our own corporate Democrats, they will be rewarded with continued control of the House, they will get the Senate and they will most likely get the Presidency. And you know what they will do. I assure you they will not be looking to hold out an olive branch to us, they will steamroll us with their right wing agenda as we should have done to them with a progressive agenda but failed to even attempt. The Democrats didn't even try because too many of our "own" are compromised corporatists and they never wanted to help anyone but their patrons. Even when "we" win majorities in both houses and hold the Presidency we still don't do anything meaningful. We don't do anything that goes against the owners' agenda.

Until we take the money out of politics, which will never happen, we are doomed to this fascist agenda of giving more and more to the people who need it least and giving less and less to the people that need it most.

And while not all Americans are idiots, enough of them are to ensure their own destruction. I have zero faith in my countrymen, they have been found wanting too many times.

I'm very bitter today.

2. Two things....
He dissed Snookie and the Jersey Shore which, I gather, is kind of insulting to people who live in Jersey and he was out there during the Hurricane acting like a governor.

6. I don't like the guys attitude toward public employees but I have to say
I was impressed with his performance during the hurricane.

I don't think tea baggers are going to be thrilled with some of the positions he has taken.

9. in the absence of fighting Dems....
....people believe the puke narrative that the sky is falling....who's to blame?....government!

....it's like evil children turning on their own parents....

....however, in this era of Republican budget cuts and social program down-sizing to pay for corporate corruption, a 300+ pound puke slob is the perfect image of puke austerity that we can build upon...."Are you and your children hungry tonight?....pig-man christie isn't."
